Creating A Culture of Possibility -
A Free Webinar With Arlene Goldbard
Tuesday, December 3 from 10 am - 11:30 am PST

WomenArts is proud to present a free online workshop led by the visionary arts activist, Arlene Goldbard. Register soon - this workshop will be limited to 20 people.
Arlene Goldbard is a writer who has distilled years of deep thinking about arts and social change into two beautiful books - The Wave and The Culture of Possibility: Art, Artists and the Future. With the help of generous grants from the Nathan Cummings Foundation and the Harnisch Foundation, WomenArts is offering a free online webinar led by this provocative and inspiring woman on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 from 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Pacific Standard Time.
Many women artists are interested in working on social justice issues.  We understand the power of the arts, but it can be so frustrating to get other activists to see it!
Arlene Goldbard's workshop is designed to help women artists bridge this gap. It will give you new ways to think and talk about your work that can help you forge partnerships with other activists.

You will learn how to help your potential project partners see the world through a cultural lens, crafting stories powerful enough to support your mutual goals, and making full use of everyone's creative capacities.

This highly interactive video webinar will include experiential exercises, frameworks for thinking about culture and change, techniques for seeing your work as an artist in a new light, and ways to  refresh your vision, aims, and strategies. You will come away excited, energized, and armed with new ideas to try.
To sign up for this online workshop/webinar, please visit our Webinar Registration Page.  We will send you information about logging in to the webinar after you have registered.

The first five people to sign up for our online webinar will receive free copies of one of Arlene's books - either The Wave (a novel set in a future where the arts are fully integrated into society), or The Culture of Possibility: Art, Artists and the Future (a set of essays about arts and social change).

Arlene Goldbard is a writer, speaker, consultant, and activist whose work is all about building a culture of possibility. Her two new books are nonfiction and fiction treatments of the same simple, powerful idea: how we shape our stories shapes our world.
Many readers have responded to her vision of the future by asking, "How can we make this happen?" She designed this webinar as an answer to that question.
